Want to stay in Seattle?
Seattle Marriott Waterfront.
Written by Thomas and Jenny
Imagine it is a sunny day in Seattle, and you want to take your family out on a staycation and head out to downtown Seattle. You would be wondering where we should stay since there are many hotels to choose from. We recommend Seattle Marriott Waterfront. Like its name, Seattle Marriott is located adjacent to Pier 66 and within walking distance of the Seattle Ferris wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. When you first walk in through the main entrance, you feel the sea breeze inside the lobby, making you feel like you are on vacation. The front desk reception is on the left, and team members are enthusiastic about hospitality service. You will see the club lounge on the right, and straight ahead, stairwells heading down to meeting rooms. Hook & Plow is the newest restaurant where you will catch lots of culinary action, from chefs flipping a pizza dough to preparing your meal from a distance.
When you take an elevator to guestroom floors, the moment you walk out of the elevator, you will feel inside a ship. Seattle Marriott Waterfront has an interior corridor concept themed after a ship. Guestrooms are fully renovated. If you stay in a water-view room with a balcony, you can walk out on the balcony to find Pier 66 on the right and the Seattle Ferris wheel on the left within walking distance from the hotel. You can lay on the bed looking out at the water, reassured you are on vacation.
Seattle Marriott Waterfront has a swimming pool that is partially indoor and outdoor. It is also airy, but the pool water temperature was hot despite the pacific northwest weather. Very comfortable to swim in. There are loungers you can lie to bask in the sun, or if you want to swim, you can. Remember there is an apartment or a condo next door facing the pool area.
Overall, my family stayed at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront for one day and we really enjoyed the hotel experience.
"Reserve a water view room with a balcony."
Seattle Marriott Waterfront has two types of water-view rooms. Partial or Full. We highly recommend getting a full water view room with a balcony to experience Seattle Waterfront.
Seattle Marriott Waterfront offers the following to hotel guests:
- Beautiful, airy lobby
- Friendly service
- Ship-feel interior corridors
- Renovated guestrooms
- Complimentary water bottles (more at the front desk)
- Renovated guest bathrooms
- Waterview and Balcony (additional charge)
- Very quiet guestrooms (despite the train track behind the hotel)
- Partial Indoor/Outdoor pool with Hot water temperature
- New culinary experience at Hook & Plow (breakfast and dinner)
- Great social gathering spot in the lounge
